Project Summary
Pixel Playground is an interactive space where children can freely explore, experiment, and express themselves by using tiles to create art and messages as a form of storytelling.
Problem
In the St. James Concourse transitional housing community in Hong Kong, communal spaces are central to social interactions, but there are limited opportunities for creative expression and engaging outdoor activities, especially for children.
Solution
Pixel Playground transforms existing spaces to encourage outdoor activity and designed to build existing connections in communal space to bring people together. Made from modular and interactive rotative elements that is lightweight enabling for easy rotation.
